What We Do

Worship Services
Join Us!
During the Coronavirus pandemic, we have several online options for Sunday worship. Right now, there is no in-person worship through January.
Each week you can find a pre-recorded worship service on our Facebook page.
Everyone is invited to join us for Zoom worship at 10:00 AM each Sunday morning!

Music Ministry
Making a Joyful Noise
At Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, music is an important part of worship. When we meet, we sing "golden oldies" as well as contemporary praise and worship songs with equal gusto! Our services alternate the liturgy with the church season.
Right now, we can't meet in person for some of our favorite activities like Shepherd Choir and Handbell Choir, but each Friday evening, our director of music, Mike Nault, hosts a hymn sing on Zoom.

Bible Study
Learning Together
When we are able to meet in person, we host two Bible study sessions each week. Right now, we are hosting one Bible study session on Zoom each Monday evening.
Currently, we are studying the book of 2 Corinthians. Anyone is welcome to jump in and join at any time.
All the latest updates, including the Zoom information, are on our Facebook event page. Check it out!
Fundraisers and Drives
Helping The Community
At Good Shepherd, we have a variety of committees and groups who all favor particular initiatives to help in the community. Women of the ELCA (WELCA) collect school supplies to make school kits for Lutheran World Relief, and our Outreach and Evangelism committee frequently runs drives for supplies for Laundry Love of Goldsboro, a group that helps those in need in Wayne County wash clothes and bedding. Our fundraisers and collections change throughout the year and depending on current events.

Wednesday Evening Vespers
A Mid-Week Break
Everyone needs a break, right? Each Wednesday at 7:00 PM, pause for prayer. A recorded opportunity to enter into holy space, breathe in the grace of God, and focus on faith. It will be posted on the church’s Facebook page.
