Food for the Flock 64

March 27, 2019

This week I was doing some work on the bulletin boards. Mostly it was about refreshing items and putting up a handful of “thank you” notes from various agencies around town. AND adding an article about one of our middle schoolers who attends Norwayne. I also noticed that the boxes for the Zoom Bags and Personal Care Kits are filling up nicely.

I invite you to check out the new postings. You will see faith in action is happening inside the walls of our church as people host fellowship meals and birthday celebrations. Volunteers are working in the community at the Soup Kitchen. Good Shepherd has helped out Lutheran Services of the Carolinas with disaster funds, Agapé Camp will provide camperships, Habitat for Humanity can help more people into affordable shelter. Food, shelter, opportunities to discover God and build faith in God’s creation…those are all ways that we expand GSLC reach in our community and the world.

Thanks for you good work. Looking beyond our selves and reaching out to others with our benevolent gifts to the NC Synod, community, and the world is what discipleship looks like! Keep it up.

Pastor Joanna
