My heart is full. The services of Advent and Christmas Eve were amazing. The presence of strangers and friends in worship, the beauty of looking out into the congregation at the candles shimmering in the darkness as we sang Silent Night, Holy Night, even the noises of the restless children—made the presence of the Holy Child in our worship space all the more powerful.
My prayer is that each of you will continue to rest in the light of our new born King contemplating the power of the Incarnate God. Emmanuel—God with us—enters into our lives to feel all that we feel and experiencing all that we experience. May we like Mary the Mother of Jesus cherish these things in our hearts growing in our faith and giving thanks.
PS This coming Sunday at 10 a.m. the Lessons and Carols will give us another opportunity to experience the Christ, the new born King. Please invite friends and neighbors to share this time. If you are on Facebook, re-post the event to your circle of contacts so that the Good News is shared.
