Thursday Bible Study on Zoom

Before  the summer break, we ran a successful Bible study on Monday evenings  where we studied the Book of Acts. Now it is time to start again – this  time with a different area of study and a new night.

Because  Pastor Rooney travels a great deal for the Society of the Holy Trinity  and most of those trips are Monday and Tuesday, that eliminates those  two evenings. Wednesday is choir practice and Friday is Hymn Sing. That  leaves Thursday so we are going to try that evening and see how it  works.

Bible  Study will start on Thursday September 8 beginning at 7pm. There are a  couple of Thursdays Pastor Rooney will have to miss but those will be  announced.

We  will turn our attention to Paul’s letter to the Romans. This is an  important text for our faith as a whole and particularly for us as  Lutherans. It is one of the most theologically rich texts in the NT and  should provide us with lots of good discussion.
